Visited Cotton, the rescued owl at the state park this afternoon. Her friend, Buddy the red-tailed hawk is still with her as well. Walked around the park. Hardly nobody was there. Nice and quiet, saw a few squirrels. A great day to be out. The rangers have said Cotton could not be released but they are hoping Buddy can be soon. He was hit by a car and they are taking care of him for now. Picked up a few groceries while out. Not many people were out today. Photo is mine.

@CarolDM Then that might be why she can't be released.

@kaylachan Yes, the rangers told me when I first started visiting that she will never be released due to her wings. The hawk might be able to leave soon, will have to wait and see how he does.

Pretty owl. There are red tailed hawks in San Jose as well.

It's nice that Buddy may be returned to the wild. Cotton is as beautiful as always.

Always good to see them, Personally the way the world is today I think Cotton is better off where she is as well as Buddy but if they let him go best of luck,

Glad you were able to enjoy some time in the park and saw Buddy and Cotton. I went to the store this morning and there weren't as many there as usual. The shelves were a bit more bare but got what I needed.
