I am watching my granddaughter today since her daycare is closed with kids passing around a stomach bug.
I didn't get here until almost midnight last night and stayed up talking with my daughter for awhile, then hopped on myLot for a bit.
She got up around 8:15 today so that was good that it wasn't a 6 am day! She has been playing all morning and I am hoping she winds down after a late lunch and takes a little nap. Brinley is 3 1/2 with a birthday coming up in May.
We went outside this morning for about an hour. She brought her horses (play) outside to graze in the clover. Then she got busy and did a little mud painting. She is very creative with her thoughts and has entertained herself very well today.
I may be here another night as my daughter informed me at lunch that she doesn't know who will watch her tomorrow. Yes, that was the unofficial way of letting me know she needs me tomorrow also. Anybody wanna bet me on this?

No bet. I'm sure she's happy grandma is willing and available. As long as grandma doesn't tire out too easily, then you should be enjoying yourself.

@DaddyEvil No, she was asleep before I got there. I didn't stay a second night.

Kids are known germ magnets. I hope you don't mind babysitting though. Hopefully the kids recover quickly and she can get back to school.

No nap! Her other favorite was playing horse vet with her horses. She loves horses. I had to get on to her for putting one in the freezer and constantly checking it to see if the horse had cooled down enough. She has horses all over the house in odd places; such as the laundry closet, in the pantry, etc. They are resting or punished...you name it.

Did you try telling her it might get too cold in the freezer.

She is definitely an active little girl. She hasn't stopped all day. The dogs came inside for a nap and she colored and then went back outside. I'm staying inside this time. They have a big window by the kitchen table that looks out into the back yard so I can see her every move.

@CarolDM It is also nice to be able to watch the dogs when they go out! One of her huskies is very protective of her territory and will kill another animal that comes in their yard. She got a chicken that was free range at their old house. The lady next door to her has at least 3 cats, maybe more. They were constantly over in my daughter's yard.
