What Makes Them The Way That They Are?

I have been fascinated with serial killers for years. I am a very curious person. I am also a people watcher and I wonder what makes people tick and, what to do the things that they do. I wonder what makes serial killers do the evil things they do. What makes them able to do these things? Did something horrible happen to these people to make them want to do awful things? Is it because of a physical accident(hit on the head) or something that happened to them in their formative years? Or, is it the lack of something they need in their physical make-up? Well, come to find out there are a lot of reasons. A problem in the brain is one factor. Some people are born with abnormalities in the areas known as the corpus callosum and superior temporal gyrus. And, low orbital cortex activity(in psychopathic behavior). And, logically, if these areas already have low functioning and the person is brought up in a horrible situation it makes sense that such a person could grow up to be a serial killer. Scientists and psychiatrists have also found a chromosome that acts as a trigger to abnormal behavior. People with this may never develop a sense of belonging or attachment to the world. With this lack of desire, killers are unable to empathize with their victims. The orbital cortex is in charge of rational thought, decision-making, reasoning, and the full expression of personality.
