Do you know how to peel pineapples?

So as you know, my aunt gave me a lot of veggies fresh from her mini-farm. We couldn’t cook everything and I was afraid they might just get rotten or something so I gave some to my neighbors. They wanted to pay money but of course I refused. Then this morning, a neighbor gave this giant pineapple to me. She said it’s a thank you present for the veggies. I was speechless because I wasn’t really expecting anything. I love pineapples so I thanked her profusely.
Do you like pineapples?
Photo is of the giant pineapple.

I love pineapples. A long time ago I mostly ate them from a can. But now there are always pineapples at the supermarket.

@sol_cee I loved them before I knew about the real ones. Now I don´t buy them.

@sol_cee You can go the "professional way", you can find YouTube videos for that.
Then there is the easy way that I use.
Remove the crown and the bottom. Cut in half, then again in half and remove the peel as you would do for a watermelon.

Kindness reciprocated with kindness . Oh yes, we love pineapples! I have read that it is good for coughs too (my husband has a chronic cough). My kids will gobble it up. I use a cleaver to chop off all the top and peel, so it's not too much trouble.

I can/will eat a little bit of pineapple but don't like that pineapples can eat you back. After a small bowl, my tongue/mouth can hurt for several days. I won't eat it very often. Maybe once every few years.

@sol_cee Yup! I think the chemical is called bromelain and it breaks down proteins. It essentially breaks down the inside of a mouth and tongue...
