Are you a food snob?

I read a discussion here about anchovies on a pizza and I was like uhm, no thank you. That won’t work for me and my pizza topping choice would never include anchovies or banana and curry or even chocolate. But I realize that what doesn’t appeal to me might be appealing to other’s palate. Each to his own. You do you. YOLO.
So I’m sorry anchovies if I was too hard on you. Like how hard Gordon Ramsay is to everybody’s cooking. Lol
Photo is a meme of Gordon Ramsay castigating the bananas on the pizza.

To each their own. That's why options exist.

NONE of those "toppings" belong on a pizza! That's just disgusting!

I have never liked anchovies on anything and I have never wanted pineapple on my pizza but pretty much I will also try strange combinations if they sound good,

I am not a food snob but there are certain combos I am sure I wouldn't enjoy.

I don't like anchovies on pizza. I have never tried banana on pizza. But I do like pineapple on pizza.

@sol_cee People like what they like, but there is one thing I dislike, that people call things with a wrong name. Stop calling pizza everything that it's not a pizza. I can understand why in Italy they are fighting to oblige people not to call those things pizza. Here we arrived to ban the name "milk" on all those drinks made with oat, almond and soy, those are not "milk" now they are called "drinks".

I've tasted anchovy pizza decades ago and I seriously can't remember if I liked it or not. I would rather have shrimp on my pizza. The anchovies can go to my puttanesca. :)

@sol_cee seriously that's the name of the dish. apparently it is derived from the women that cooked it often for convenience. ;o)

Yes, put me in the special tastes category. Although rather than snob I like to think of it as using good judgement. After all, food is to be enjoyed not tolerated.

Hmm...
Personally, I would prefer to try it first before shooting it down. Who knows, you might be pleasantly surprised that something you didn't think would go together, goes together well.
After all, it's anchovies and bananas, (etc.).
(Gordon also has something against pineapples on pizza and... excuse me? From my point of view, pineapples have gone hand in hand with pizza ever since i was introduced to pizza as a kid.)
Now, if it's something like... that cheese with maggots. That might be harder for me to try.
But anchovies and bananas would be easier to swallow.

Anchovies and tomatoes are a no-no for me. I am okay with crusted cheese though.

I am of the opinion that to some people, odd things on pizza sounds too weird to try. Bananas really sound terrible for pizza to me. But as long as I don't have to eat it, I don't care what others dump on pizza, just leave my portion for me to decide on!
I personally have come to detest pepperoni. It's so processed and greasy, I prefer actual meat that is cooked sausage or chicken or ground beef instead. I know most love pepperoni, I am just not one of those people. If I am sharing a pizza with someone and it has pepperoni, I don't say anything, I just pick it off and leave it.

Sometimes it's just easier to remove what we don't want rather than make a fuss over it, I get that.
