3rd Quarter is Done / myLot

Tuesday was the last day of the 3rd Quarter for my current cohort of students. Today, I finalized their report cards. Most of the kids have excellent grades. A few will probably see harsh disappointment on their parents' faces because they chose not to do their best. With 2 days of the 4th Quarter already done, we have only 43 school days left before Summer Break. Extending the math to my intended retirement date, I have 223 teaching days left with students before I close my classroom door for the last time. Not that I'm counting. I hope you enjoy the picture of Snow's Cut Bridge between the mainland and Carolina Beach.

Yes, as best I could with my phone camera. Wouldn't you know it, I left my DSLR at home last weekend and missed some great opportunities for quality pictures.

@DWDavis Yes, I could tell that it was zoomed in. I normally don't use the zoom feature in my phone camera. What I do is just crop it after and it would have the same effect as zooming it but a much clearer picture.

I am glad most kids have excellent grades. Hopefully those who don't get good scores will work harder and can do better in the next quarter.

I hope they do, but at this point don't see it happening. Trying to get them to care about their work has been a frustrating effort.

This is spring break for our kids. They go back on Monday. I am hoping both kids report cards come back with decent grades. We have had trouble with he child this year.

We still schedule our Spring Break to coincide with Easter, so there are still a couple of weeks to go. When we get back, we'll have about 6 weeks left. Hope the he child does better this last bit.
