Bad Idea: Bike Lanes

In the city of Baguio, the locals are questioning the bike lanes installation. When they did this, the more traffic jams were expecting by the commuters and vehicle drivers or owners. They made the roads narrower than before. It seems that the need to have a new project to widen the roads and calibrate their minds. Are your city officials thinking wisely lately?

We only have bike lanes where the roads are large enough so that they do not create problems.

I welcome this idea here as bikes here seem to come near other vehicles recklessly.

@Shavkat In a city, widening roads seems difficult, because of the shops in the roadside needs to be moved elsewhere.

Perhaps this road is just too narrowed for bike lanes. Perhaps it needs to have a new design. Just like passing one way car and then there will be room for the bike lanes.

We have bike lanes that do not go along side the whole road which makes no sense.

Bicycles are environmentally friendly. and it is good for the health of a person using the bicycle. I think it's good. Bicyles are using the edge of the road often so this idea is not new anymore. It only gives a reminder to drivers that besides the road is for bicycles.
