Sometimes I just avoid the webcam at home

We have a webcam at home and sometimes my dad will look at it to see whether we are OK or our home is fine.
But sometimes I will still avoid it like today. I already turned off the livingroom lights and I stayed in my bedroom. Later my dad asked me why I didn't go to the office yet. I told him that it was raining hard outside and I would go there after lunch

I understand. But sometimes we care about our parents as well as them. Such as long time ago I couldn't contact my dad and I couldn't find him at home from the webcams. I started to feel nervous and asked my husband to go there to check it. Then he found my dad slept earlier at that day which was not like usual...

@youless - My mother lived 100 Km from me. I called her every day, if she did not reply to the phone, I called her best friend (who lived in the same building) and she went to check. She would have never accepted to me "spied" with a webcam and I would have never accepted the same. I cannot stand that someone violates my privacy.
