Who will win The Oscars?

So BLM movement has dribbled out and the black families paid off handsomely for losing their sons to white cops bullets so no real pressure on The Oscars this year to award black nominees and movies. The #metoo flame has flickered out and global warming taking a backseat as the world thirsts for oil once again. So that leaves the usual Hollywood tropes of gay cowboys, issues movies and biographical ones a chance this year.
Best Picture is likely to go to the extremely dull Power of the Dog with Jane Campion ticking another PC box there for Best Director. Coda, with its lead stars being deaf, so a movie about deaf people, will catch the Academies eye for the 'issues movie' winner of the night whilst the arty black & white Belfast could also win one.I quite liked Dont Look Up , but what do I know.
Will Smith could be the big black winner on the night for King David, the story of the Williams sisters, well deserved for his A-list career. Pen Cruz looks set to win Best Actress for Parallel Mothers. Kristen Stewart deserves an award for Spencer, though, a talented girl. Best supporting actress likely to go to Ariana Debose for West Side Story remake but Aunjanue Ellis for King Richard could tick another box.
Tony Kotsur for Coda as best male supporting would cover Coda not winning Best Picture so very likely.
Licorice Pizza, the Paul Anderson screenplay. is favorite for that award. Kenny Branagh could sneak it for the more all round work of Belfast.
Who ever wins they are not the best moves of the last 12 months by a long way.

I honestly think the Hollywood thing will be a thing of the past before too many years pass. I have never been a celebrity follower, and don't plan on it, either. My kids don't follow movie stars, they don't even go to movie theaters, they just watch movies at home. I think the Oscars are a huge waste of money and resources, especially during a time when the world is basically in such a snarl. I would think more of the entire thing if I heard that the powers in charge of it would cancel and donate the money.

@MarieCoyle I agree. I admire a few too, some of the old actors from the past.

I have little knowledge of current actors or movies.
I make up for that by caring even less.
It's not even about the best movie or best performance anymore, you're right there. It's about PC, virtue signaling and rewarding mediocrity by the current favorite players or issues.

I have not even thought about the Oscars in ages, I used to watch when I knew the movies and the actors, Now I know nothing about anything anymore and I just pick up some news about them online,

I agree with some of your analyses but the Oscars were never there for the popular movies.
if it was - Spider-man no way home would win hands down.
So it's like when someone asked: "How come popular movies like Spider-man didn't have any awards" someone else answered:
"my friend that's what the money is for!"

I liked very much The power of the dog. I did not find it at all dull. I wasn´t prepared for it though thinking it would be a normal DULL western. But it was a tense and very human film. AS for Parallel mothers, although Almodóvar is the director I prefer, I don´t think that this was his best movie at all.

What I really love about the Oscars is their winning speech and what celebrities wear for the award.
