Bone Strengthening Workout

My bone density test showed I am in the osteopenia range. I wrote about it a few months ago. My oncologist wanted me to go on Prolia, so instead, I got a second opinion and that doctor said I can do some bone density exercises and up my calcium intake and we can do another bone density test and see where I am at. So I met with a trainer and 3 times a week now I go to the gym and do a bone density workout on a treadmill, exercise bike, and various weight machines. It's a 50-minute workout. And the best thing is, not only am I helping my bones to hopefully prevent them from getting worse, but this is the first time in my life I actually ENJOY going to the gym. That helps to keep me motivated. Do you work out at a gym and if so, do you like it?

That's great that you are enjoying the gym workouts now.

That you enjoy the exercises is the best bit. If it isn't a trail, then you won't be looking for excuses to pass on!

I don't but when I qualify for Medicare later this year if is part of my plan I may go. The trouble is, not too sure how many are close to me.

I can't justify the cost. While there are gyms covered by my insurance, transportation is not. Getting to a bus, and back would be a workout in of itself. So, I don't consider it worth it.

Good to hear you have options. That is always great news. I have a treadmill at home.

I used to visit the gym years ago, then my busy schedule forced me to stop. Now l am not so busy there are no gyms in my area. But l do exercise at home.
