Just How I Feel

Sometimes I feel sort of sheepish when I share my darker interests on social media. Yeah, embarrassed and uncomfortable. I want to be seen in a good and positive light. But, I also want the darker parts of life to be acknowledged and revealed. Life isn't all gardening, frugal cooking, family, church, shopping, and entertainment. There is a lot of ugliness in the world.
I am fascinated by some of the dark and seedy parts of life. My curiosity has led me to some strange places and situations. But, where would I be without them? I wouldn't be me.
I also have my opinions. Oh, yes I do. My principles are such that I firmly believe that the ugliness and horrors in this world cannot be vanquished without knowing evil exists and taking the initiative, in all our small corners of the world, to spit in its face and not let it win. We can't subdue and vanquish it unless we know about it.
If we let evil hide away and do its bidding unrevealed then, to me, evil wins. The light needs to be shown on it and it needs to be dealt with in discussion and activism.

Thanks for sharing.
You mentioned you want to be seen in a good and positive light. I believe you can still be seen this way even if/when you speak about darker or evil topics. There is a big difference between speaking about evil and doing something evil. When we talk about things, awareness is born and thus, we can move towards disrupting that evil.
To your point, "If we let evil hide away and do its bidding unrevealed then, to me, evil wins..." We must not let evil win. So, let's talk about it.

I do that by letting people know about people like Israel Keyes. Their evil fascinates me.

You are definitely someone that doesn't hold anything back. You would be the same in person as you are online. You are very transparent.

That would be me. I think we only pass through this life once and we need to be transparent.
