I did not want to come here and talk or anything. She went out on Thursday afternoon March 24. When Bob got the other cats in, she teased him, and ran away. We had some days of bad weather and I expected her to come back, and she did not. I posted her online locally, and we drove around and looked. Not a sign of her. I have seen for myself that she is a good hunter, and I also put food out for her. The other kitties acted like they were missing her. Thankfully, she was not dead. Bob has more cars than he needs, including one that is basically for parts. He puts tools in there when he is working on other cars. WE THINK she snuck inside when he had a door open while working on another car across the yard. For a couple of days he thought he heard her when he called the others inside. He would go out and look, because there is an abandoned house and garage next door where lots of kitties come and go. This morning we were preparing to go to my appointment. First Tinker hopped on top of this sports car. Bob thought he was watching birds in the trees overhead. Then Tinker went around trying to get in the car windows, which are closed. When Bob checked, he saw Lady. She would not let him get close to her. I was able to get her and put her in the house. Either she thinks he did it on purpose or some strange man/boy could have caught her and put her in as a prank. We lean toward believing she got in when the door was open on her own. There is a lot more on our property to fool around with than a junk car and nothing seems to have been touched. She has lost some weight, and is skittish, but okay. It is good to have her home.

She got trapped inside our own "extra" car that we do not use. Tinker told Bob about it.

@GardenGerty Poor Lady, our cat got trapped in the garage. We use the car once a week, I am glad my neighbor was working in the garden and heard him meowing.

@JudyEv I kept wanting to tell them to take me to her. Not quite as good at leading someone as a dog would be, but Tinker did do a good job.

I remember when one of my cats was gone fir almost 2 weeks. We looked everywhere for her. Then one day she showed up at the front door. She looked well cared for so I believe someone had taken her in. Happy for you that your fur baby came home to you!

@GardenGerty that’s always a worry. I believe that’s what happened to one of my cats. I’d hate to think that a wild animal got her.

@RubyHawk Before she got trapped in the car I think she was catching "things" to eat. I also had put food out. She lost some weight, but is not acting famished or glutton like.

She had an adventure, but at least she was safe from animals that might kill her, and cars that might run her over.

Poor Lady, I am glad the mystery was solved but sorry she had to got through all that, Our problem in Latvia with our cat was a shed next to our garage, Often our cat would wind up getting locked in there but after a couple of times this happened when we could not find him we would check the shed and garage until one winter a slab fell out of an old window and we left it open so if caught inside problem solved he just jumped out of the window,

At first we had assumed she was in the open garage next door. There is lots of furniture and such in there. That is where Tinker usually goes.

That's good she is home. My cat, Lily, went missing for three days when I lived at the trailer. We think she got trapped in a neighbor's storage building.
