I guess that Cortana is like Siri on Apple's iOS devices but is the Microsoft equivalent. She came on my HP computer back in 2019. It originated in the Microsoft Halo video game series and was available in 2014-2015. She came out on the Windows 10 May 2020 update as well. It is funny though. I will be writing along, watching something on tv and she will pop up on my desktop. She usually says something like: "I am sorry. I can't give you any information on that subject at this time." She will hear something from the tv and she does try.

It was just on my computer when I got it. It helps a little but not much.

I only found out that Cortana was related to the Halo games when I watched the first episode of the Halo TV series.
