Hard to think with everyday dishes

Some meals by me

A family of four and each person's eating preferences are different. Every day I have to think about what to cook in the meal to suit all. Sometimes, I really don't know what to cook. And sometimes I feel like everyday cooking is boring. Although I love to cook. Have you ever felt that way?

I live alone I only cook for myself yet I get that feeling. Thank God I don't mind eating the same thing twice or three times in a row.

Some people, like my husband, can't eat the same dish two or three times. He mostly has to eat different foods during the day.

That's right. Lots of tutorials on here. Truly a lifesaver for a "don't know what to eat!"

My parents told us to eat what was on our plates or go without.

Real? :) Actually, on the dinner table, I also try to advise the children to eat well. But sometimes I get confused as to what to cook :)

When I was young, we were 6 in the family, we ate what Mom put on the table. She used to say if you do not want to eat, it means you are not hungry. She was right, no picky eaters in our home.

wow, It would be nice if I could be like your mother. Because after I say that, the kids won't eat, then they'll drink milk or find other snacks. Now there are too many choices.

@LadyDuck When I was young, there were no snacks in the house, too. But nowadays, it is difficult to do so. Every time they go out, on weekends, for example, the kids often offer to buy a variety of snacks, a little bit of each. So there's always snacks in the house. I believe it is the same in every family with young children today.

@tkonlinevn - I think that it was very different when I was young, no snacks in the house.

I haven't, but my Mom probably has. She used to get stressed out a lot thinking about what to cook for the day. I liked soupy dishes, but my sister preferred fried ones. I like my food to have a hint of sweetness, but she thought it was yucky. In the end, she had to spent a lot of time preparing for our meal Sorry, Mom...
