This April Fool’s Day joke is no fun

I hate it when people joke about stuff which aren’t funny. Telling someone you’re having a baby or losing a baby and then adding the lame ‘it’s a prank!’ thing isn’t funny. Or maybe it’s just me who couldn’t get the joke? Am I getting older? But I can be funny too. I don’t know if you noticed though. Anyway, I was just really really pissed when a friend messaged me that she lost her baby. I did know she was pregnant so I was shocked to hear that from her. I video called her immediately but to my dismay she was laughing when she answered the call. Seriously? She’s joking about losing her baby? I got really mad I hung up when she said ‘it’s a prank! Happy April Fool’s Day!’ I’m still not talking to her. Duh.
How about you? Can you still laugh at things or are you as touchy as I am?

Believe me, I can take a joke . . . but jokes like that are absolutely not funny to me . I know people who have lost their babies or can't even have babies . . . it is heartbreaking - and it's nothing to joke about. And she does this about her own baby . . . that's terrible.

Your friend has a strange sense of humour.
I wouldn't say that I am touchy
I still laugh at stuff like I always have
I can still see the funny bside of lots of stuff that isn't funny
But the losing a baby prank isn't funny at all
I believe you can be funny

We call them "graceless" jokes. I also hate jokes like that. They are not funny at all. There are things that can't be made fun of, like your friend did. If it were me, I would definitely be angry.

If it's funny, I'll laugh. If it's not funny, I don't say anything. *shrug*

I guess I'm as touchy as you are, and I can't stand pranks. The reason is because most pranks are unfunny and not well thought out, just like the examples you mentioned above. I don't like jokes that depend on one's or someone else's humiliation or misery in order to get a laugh. They're terrible

Yeah I used to do the having a baby joke, but I don't do anymore. But I did tell my best friend that I woke as a man. She liked that joke. She told me that her boyfriend masked her to marry him as a joke. I did get that joke.

This is not done. It's a raw joke. Here in my city they celebrate Utkal Divas or Odisha day on the 1st of April.
