Sturgeon Record Catch Set By Twelve-Year-Old

Last month Tyler Grimshaw tied the Idaho sturgeon catch and release record. He reeled in a 9-foot, 11-inch fish while fishing with his dad and a Sport Fishing guide, Joe Weisner on the great Snake River. "It's an absolute giant," Joe Weisner, the Sport Fishing guide had said. Tyler stayed with the fish, reeling it in, for 50 minutes. He used his own body weight for leverage to help him reel in the giant. The crew involved with the catch measured the fish three times to be sure it tied the Idaho catch and release record. Now Tyler wants to beat his own record and reel in another giant fish. Read the story here:

That fish was probably older than the kid to get that big.
