It's HIS birthday...What?!?

At this moment, my new neighbor has some friends at his house and they are having a drinking session. I assume that it's his birthday. I will let this pass and endure the loudness of their golden voices. I hope they will not continue doing so regularly. Do you endure loud neighbors?

If it's once a year for a celebration, I do not care. Usually they let us know if they receive friends and plant to be a bit noisy.

Actually, I am not sure if it is a birthday celebration. If they are having fun and have nothing to celebrate, then it is noted. It is their first time doing this. Cross my fingers that they are not going to do this regularly.

@Shavkat - Usually our neighbors are quiet. it happens that in summer they receive friends, but they never stay up late in the night.

I thought it has been banned to have loudspeakers in residential areas. In my place, you could complain to the Barangay if there are neighbors that are noisy like that.

@Shavkat Oh ok I thought they are using loudspeakers. I think those can be tolerated for as long as the noise is confined and not disturbing the neighbors.

Oh yes, we have some loud neighbors - which one should I tell you about . One house in particular is 2 streets down from us . . . technically not close . . . but in certain months they seem to have loud parties every weekend. Someone there must be a DJ - they use the microphone and big speakers . . . we hear them all the way here even if we shut all the windows.

@Shavkat We can call the police after 10pm . . . but they never come soon enough. There are many closer neighbors to that noise - I am surprised THEY put up with it!

@much2say It is also happening here, too. The policemen are so late enough to come that these noisy people will have the time to run.

Is not possible to report them for doing this? I cannot live in this kind of situation. It is not possible for them to do that here.

Every few years people will have a loud party, and usually that is because they have someone there that doesn't realize how loud they really are or how much their voice is carrying.

I agree. I am not sure if I am growing old. For the reason that I am becoming sensitive to loud noises.

When I lived at the trailer park, I had a few loud neighbors, but they were nice. One neighbor used to hammer alot. I called Hammerhead. lol The nickname stuck for him. Now that I moved into my uncle's house, my neighbors are quiet unless they are mowing.

I am glad that you are living in a peaceful place now. When I was still in the capital of my country, I need to endure the loud noises of my neighbors.

I agree. Since they are new neighbors, I will let them do this for now. If they do it regularly, then that is not acceptable.

The grandparents next door have their kids and grandkids over about once a month and they can get loud but they've told us multiple times that we're welcome to join them any time we want. We ignore them unless one of them is doing something we don't like in our yard. I have told some of the grandkids to go back to Grandpa's yard once. (Two of them were fighting in my yard. I told them I didn't want to get sued when one of them got hurt on my property. The went back to Grandpa's yard.)

Thankfully I have pretty quiet neighbors. Hope your new neighbor enjoyed his birhday and it isn't an ongoing party celebration

Thankfully, we don't have loud and rowdy neighbours. Mostly, our neigbours are retirees.
