Easter Bunny - Yes or No?

The Easter Bunny was never part of the things that I believed when I was a child. Santa Claus...yes....the Easter Bunny...no. Did you believe in the Easter Bunny when you were a child? Did you tell your children/grandchildren about the Easter Bunny? For those of you not familiar with the Easter Bunny. It is said that it brings Easter candy and gifts to little children on Easter. Sometimes the Easter Bunny is involved in Easter egg hunts too. I remember one Easter getting a new pair of Mary Janes (shoes) and wearing my best outfit and going to Wade Park by the Art Museum in Cleveland. That's where everyone went to show off their new duds in those days. Photo Credit: Pixabay

When I was a child, Easter was a religious holiday. Only my grandchildren have had chocolate eggs to seek and an Easter bunny in their lives.

I can't recall hearing about an easter bunny when I was small in the 1950s. Santa yes, and I wasn't his biggest fan.

There was a time when I believed in some of these things, but I eventually figured things out. I do remember in the 2nd grade having an argument with a girl on the playground about whether Santa was real, and she was adamant he was not and I was adamant he was. I wound up ripping her glasses off her face and smashing them with my foot to pieces on the ground. I paid the price for that one back then. lol

Although I believed in Father Christmas the Easter bunny was never really in the same league. Now I try to make the magic happen for my Grandkids. Egg hunts etc….. There is an app I have that lets you put the Easter bunny in your house. I do that …take photos and send to the Grandkids.

I bet you were very pretty in your new Easter outfit. When I was little, the Easter bunny always brought candy that we had to hunt for in the living room on Easter morning. We carried on the same tradition with our kids, but now of course neither Dale nor I need the candy, lol.
