RIP Dwayne Haskins Jr

Dwayne Haskins
Sparta, Tennessee

I got the breaking news on Saturday morning. We had just got done training and trying to figure out if we were going to breakfast with friends or if we were all doing our own thing. When I read the notification, I had to admit I thought it was a sick joke. There was no way that it was true. 24 year old Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback, Dwayne Haskins Jr was training with a few friends in Florida. While trying to cross the street, Haskins was struck by a dump truck and died on site. The NFL world has been hit hard by the loss and I have to admit I teared up a bit. He was so young and really didn't have a chance to shine yet. He left behind a wife. *picture from google

Everyone should learn and give importance on how to cross a road. Look left and right before crossing a road. RIP.

We don't know who was at fault. You think you are in the clear then a vehicle appears seemingly out of nowhere......

@Kandae11 I've seen that happen. I'll be ready to walk out and then wham there's a car or something that speeds by. I've been lucky a couple times.

You can look and still be hit. It happens all the time because drivers don't use due caution or are speeding.

That was really strange and distressing news? Why the heck was he trying to walk across an interstate anyway?

I hope this is just a tragic accident. There’s way too much about it (training at 5:30 in the morning? Walking on an interstate??) that doesn’t add up. (I’m getting too suspicious in my old age.) It was a sad thing. I have a lot of friends I play golf with who are big Steelers fans.

That is so sad. A young life gone just like that, he had so much more to offer. Condolences to his family , fans and friends.
