Riding the bus, has it's challenges, especially when you're going far, to your destination. Transfers, going to other shops you didn't plan on and food. Today, I was going to one of the farther away destination from my home, Target. Hopped on the first bus that passed, I had to transfer in town. 3 buses will take me to Target, 13, 3 and 9. As I approached my bus stop, 3 was pulling away. After checking he's the bus for real time buses, my next bus was 89 minutes wait. Longs is 12 step walk, so off I went to get olives in sale and a snack. Paid, walking to my bus stop, 13 was on it's way and... it's electric! Goodie, I get to ride the electric bus today.
Oahu has 5 electric buses and today I'm riding one of them. It's quite and new. The picture is if #13 going west...I rode #13 going east and have a picture of the inside of the bus, which I'll try to post too.

Ok. But economical, and bus lines up pretty good. Sold my car 1986-87, so been busing a long time. You get accustomed to it. No parking worries in theft worries - converters stolen from cars bug and terrible, but got rain worries.

They are very quiet. No noise at all, unlike the old buses. No fumes too.

Does it feel different to be riding electric bus than the regular one? That's a lot of bus hopping to reach Target. The bus looks cool. Would love to see the inside pictures too.

I haven't ridden in a bus in a long time and where I live it's almost necessary to drive a car. I'm glad you got to experience riding in an electric bus but it does seem like a lot of traveling to get to Target.

That's a lot of transfers and a long wait.
