Relaxing Sunshine After The Storms

Severe storms and tornado warnings and watches overnight. A rough one. Lots of strong winds and heavy rain here. But no damage thankfully. About 20 miles north there was at least one tornado reported. Still waiting on confirmation. The winds were up to 70 miles per hour. Can you imagine being in the path of those winds. I hope everyone is safe. I do know that many thousands are without power and many trees are down. I saw a story about a 90 foot tall tree that fell. It was over 100 years old. Such a shame, thankfully nobody was hurt. Sunshine today and a perfect day in the 60s. The Dude agrees with me as he snoozes in the screen room. I enjoyed coffee out there earlier. Photo is mine.

I like The Dude’s attitude!! Sleep in the sun!!! Thankful we’re done with those three days of storms in the heartland of the nation. I’m tornado warning’d out.

Thank goodness in the Lake Charles area there were no heavy thunderstorms in the area. Just mild rainy conditions and now some sunshine.

Good that the heavy rains and winds are done for you. Dude is surely enjoying his time! We are having some late evening dusty winds which look like bringing some respite from the 40 C plus temperatures.

The Dude looks so peaceful. How has Brendel been doing? We were supposed to get storms last night but they missed this area and went north. It is 81 degrees and sunny here. It is glorious!

I am glad the storm is over. Is there a season for tornadoes? Like our hurricane season begins in June and ends in November.
