Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte / Black Forest Cake

Is my favourite German cake. I love it very much as it is so delicious for me. Gladfully, the German Black Forest cake is not so sweet compared to the ones I have eaten in another countries. I can tell immediately if that cake is made by a German or not.
Working for a few years in a cafeteria I have learned how to make this cake from the confectioner chef who was my boss. I have learned a lot from her that since then, baking became my hobby.
I have just finished baking Black Forest cake for the birthday celebration of my niece husband tomorrow. My niece asked me to make it and I happily accepted her wish.

I wonder why my funds dont go up do you actually have to type a certain number of words to count , there doesnt appear to be a lot of information on the site that I can find any proper answers to or anywhere to contact admin

The cake looks delicious, so perfectly decorated.
I am going to make up a nice fruit trifle.
We will have a big meal, and we do not always eat our dessert, so I didn't want anything heavy or time consuming to make up.

is it really German i wasnt sure , i know the blackforest is in Germany but you never know where things come from these days - chicken Korma is English I think and chow mein is american

When I was between 6 and 9 years old my dad was stationed in Butzbach Germany, an American Army base back then and mom met a German woman married to an American and they became friends, this lady taught mom how to bake a variety of German cakes this was one of them and it was oh so delicious. I think German cakes taste so much better than the overly sweet cakes they serve over here.
