I am sure that the firefighters in Columbia Maryland enjoyed answering the pleas for help from a concerned owner of macaw named Maui who fled the home of her owner last Sunday and took a flight up into a tree which was about 20 feet above the ground.
A firefighter with the Howard County Fire Department used a ladder to rescue the macaw who does not flight training decided to wait to be rescued by the firefighter who brought the bird to safety and reunite with her owner.
As a former owner of a macaw, I find these birds very interesting animals since they are very colorful looking birds.
I am sure that firefighters enjoy rescuing birds from trees since they are just doing their job of assisting persons in need which has a nice reward of being thanked by the persons in the city where they serve for doing their duty.
