Just a short good morning and Happy Easter to those who celebrate it today. We are here camping for a week. The photo is one I took on our hike yesterday. Isn't it remarkable how the tree is growing around the rock? Have a great day.

@moffittjc I'll let you know tomorrow when the rainstorms move in. On the plus side, we won't be in a tent. Our 5th wheel is pretty good at keeping us dry and warm.

@DWDavis This really is a perfect example! In weeding the yard, I saw that weeds are actually growing from rocks . . . I don't know how it's rooting, but nature as found a way!

The neat thing is I will be able to use this photo to show my kids how strong a growing tree can be. Just recently, we had a lesson on the way trees can break apart rocks.

I do like the shapes trees can grow themselves into. One of plans for this Summer is to visit the grave of Pocahontas, at Gravesend in Kent
