I haven't been here this past week, I had so many things to do that my time was always short. Last Wednesday, 13th, was my mother's birthday, but she decided to celebrate her birthday on Sunday, Easter day, as my aunt and my cousins were with us. At this time of the year she always have more clients in the hair salon so I took two days off to help her in the hair salon but also to help her with her spring cleaning. I did my Spring cleaning too, washed my windows and that was a lot of work because my house has big windows, did some work outside and did a general deep cleaning inside the house. These year the church decided to do the traditional Easter visit, it is good to have our traditions back he had the family Easter lunch and did the egg hunt with our kids. Today I went to work, I still feel tired but I am now more free to be here again. Do you do spring cleaning? And did you celebrate Easter? Picture of the church group who did the Easter visit.

The kids had an egg hunt and no, I haven’t done spring cleaning but I live in a small apartment by myself and keep my apartment clean year round. I really wouldn’t know what else to do for spring cleaning.

@nela13 I wash my windows and curtains every few months and I used to pack my out of season clothes away but since Leo passed away I leave all my clothes in my closet. I vacuum and polish furniture once a week. I don’t have anyone to clean up after but myself. When you have kids it’s a daily job. It was when I raised my family.

I clean my house every week but in the spring cleaning I wash the windows, the curtains, step aside the furniture to clean everything and change a part of my wardrobe.

Yes, it is an important celebration for us. I clean my house every week but in the spring cleaning I wash the windows, the curtains, step aside the furniture to clean everything and change a part of my wardrobe.

How's the traditional Easter visit? Do the church people just visit all the houses? It sounds good. I like to know how people celebrate the festivals, especially those that are quite new to me. I only heard about Easter but do not really know how others celebrate it. So people usually go to hair salon around Easter? Here, Chinese always go to salon before Chinese New Year, and we do the "Spring cleaning" before Chinese New Year as well as it's like the beginning of the year for us. Hope you will be get more rest and filled with energy soon.

Here the priest go through the street and visit people houses to bless each one and announce the resurrection of Jesus. It is an old Easter tradition here. Yes, people always go to the hair salon around Easter, so it is a lot of work to my mom. Thank you.

A very happy birthday to your dear Mom. I wish I were there to help you in the salon. You know I told you I am a hairdresser by trade. I love that photo! We didnt do much for Easter.

We haven't done Easter since Pretty graduated High School. And yes, we do Spring Cleaning... It's done for this year. I wondered where you were hiding. Happy belated birthday to your mother.

@nela13 You always claim to be "busy"... We all know that just means you're out having too much fun to visit with us.

Belated happy birthday to your mum. We don't have spring here so there is no such thing. Lol! I think I just stayed home during Easter.

It definitely was nice to be able to celebrate Easter with our traditions and family gathering. I really missed it these past two years with all the pandemic restrictions. It was nice that you were able to help your mom at the salon and get the spring cleaning done. I wasn't here much either as I was busy a good part of the week in preparation for Easter and the family being here,

Easter Sunday means going to the beach for most people in my country.
