My Legs Are Aching!

Well, I made it to the eye doctor. Here's how it went:
I called the taxi I had decided on at about 1:30p.(I talked about making the choice here: I don't think I will call him again because I didn't believe him. When did I need him? Half hour. He couldn't do it then. Booked until 6p.(4 and 1/2 hours of bookings?) So, anyway, I called Uber. The driver was close, she picked us up within five minutes and she was a doll. Couldn't have been nicer. We laughed and enjoyed the ride.
I was two hours and forty-five minutes early so we went over to the ER at St.Al's(right next door) to get my blood work done for my meds doctor. (I had called several weeks prior and asked if all was set up so I could get my blood work done on this day when I came in for my eye appointment. The gal assured me it was on the books and ready to go.)So, today it wasn't at all and the receptionist had to call and get an order faxed over. Geesh!
I got back to my eye doctor's office with an hour to spare. Nice to sit and relax for a while.
I have a "mature" cataract in my left eye. The doctor doesn't do the more complex cataract surgeries, he lets the younger doc do it. But, he did do an ultrasound on that eye to be sure there was no tumor or anything behind the cataract. (Weird. Ultrasound on the eye.)
So, I have to go back for my pre-op with the doctor that will be doing the actual procedure.
By end of being wheeled all over the eye doc's office(different rooms for different procedures), I made another Uber request. I was so tired. My legs ached from setting in the wheelchair for 4 hours. Another nice Uber driver and I think I'm sticking with them until I have a reason not to.

I'm glad both your experiences with Uber went well.
Were you okay being outside after so long?

I was glad too. That was my biggest concern.
I felt good being out. Nice weather and had no upsetting interactions at all. Went well.

@DaddyEvil ........I think I might. I am so happy the transportation(both directions) went well. I am busy working toward more Uber gift cards.

@celticeagle Good! I'm glad everything went well. Maybe you'll be more inclined to go out again when you don't have to go out.

@celticeagle She is on eye pressure drops and hoping to avoid the surgery for awhile. She is 76 and this year her eyes really changed.

@noni1959 .......I just heard where a lady actually had a stroke in her eye. I am taking extra nutrients for my eyes. Don't want to lose my sight.
76 is a little older than me. I had to wait until this year so I had transportation.

Oh wow. I am always so glad when things like that is over with. But then start stressing over the next time.

No, and I can use gift cards and they have point programs too. If the drivers continue to be as nice as both were yesterday I will be sticking with Uber.

I'm glad you got a thorough exam. I had my cataracts done a couple of years ago.

Was it painful? I think that mine will be because it has there 'maturing' too long. I wanted to do it last year but didn't have any transportation options.

@LindaOHio .........Well, mine is termed as "mature" too so I probably will have pain. I'll see if the doc will give me some extra numbing drops.
