Stump of the dead areca nut tree

We have many areca nut trees in our property and sometimes for reasons unknow they just die We had one to be uprooted and one of the workers cut it done. He gently removed the stump with mud attached to it. It looked like a vase It is now brought in and in the scoop I have placed a container with water. A croton cutting is placed. A fine piece of artifact. What way

After the soil dries up completely I will get it lacquered.

@allknowing If I were you, I'd see if I could get a matte finish lacquer. It will still look natural that way.

@DaddyEvil You are right Matt finish it will be. The lacquer is just to preserve it and not to get a shine
