See for Yourself: Cheaters!?!

I noticed that some Chinese biological parents are so pushy with their kids for studying the English language. Here is a fun fact about them. Either of the parents will be the one who takes the free trial lesson. The outcome is not good because the virtual teachers were not able to assess the kiddies' real level before learning the second language. That is the reason why their kids cannot perform well during the classes online. They tend to complain if their offspring cannot answer questions given in the lessons. One of the parents questioned me about it and told her to see for herself after the class since it was recorded. Thus, being a cheater is not always a good thing. What in the world should you do to stop the parents from doing this to their kiddies? Image Credit: images.saymedia-content.com

I am not sure that online classes are good to teach another language to young kids.

It is best if the young learners are into learning this second language. If there is no interest, it is really impossible to teach them.

@Shavkat For young kids the best way to learn a second language is to speak all the day long with someone who teaches little by little. This is why rich families have nannies who know different languages.

@LadyDuck I wonder how much they are paid. I could learn a few languages maybe and be a nanny

Sometimes this is the problem of online class. If it is the face to face class, the parents will leave you alone Besides, sometimes the parents may think their children are too little to control themselves and this is why they prefer to be around. Today the children can be so smart to do something else when they are having the online class.

That's a bad thing for some Chinese parents. They let the teachers act as nannies online. For the reason that they are not around to be with their kids.

@Shavkat I am not sure. But usually a parent will be around when the young kid is having an online class. Of course usually a parent won't bother it to bigger child since the bigger children want to have some privacy.

That is one of the big disadvantages of remote learning since the student on the other end cannot be monitored if they are cheating and not doing their lessons without the help of their parents or others. So assessment is not accurate since the teachers would only rely on what they see on the screen unlike of they are in a real classroom the teacher could easily identify if the student is really learning the lesson or not.

Quite often the parents are the bumpers on the way of children. I teach English and find with joy that children learn fast.
