Envelope still hasn’t arrived

The envelope I had mailed on April 11th with a check for the annual homeowners association fees still hasn’t arrived yet. I think three weeks or so passed already.
My local post office said that anything dropped into a mailbox on the street they have nothing to do with. That mail never goes to them. Since there was no tracking number no way to try and locate it.
I told my mom to put a stop on this check just in case, write out a new one, and mail it. I hope this one will actually arrive to its destination. Will have to check her bank account by the end of the week to see if the check has been deposited.
I’m tired of calling the association and asking if the check came or not. I want this fee paid so we can forget about it.

You should be calling the bank and asking if the check was cashed or not. I still pay my rent by check. Several times I've gotten notified by the Rental Manager that I still hadn't paid by the 15th but when I called the bank, they said the check had been cashed before the 5th of the month.

The check was not cashed. I kept checking her online account many times and nothing. Even checked yesterday and nothing there. I did ask the lady if perhaps they could've misplaced it on their end. She said they will check but I am not sure they did.

@DaddyEvil I remember one of the many times I called them to inquire if they received the check, the lady took down my number and said she will call back the next day but she never did.

@lovebuglena Oh sorry I got mixed up. Yeah it better.
This has happened to me too many times with important papers..I will not send them any longer..if they wont let me send them email I wont do it then they will have to come pick them up.

@RebeccasFarm I told my mom to make out the check for the same amount as the last check, which is without the late fee that the lady said (when I called) that she will waive as a courtesy if I pay right away. I hope they will still honor that.

@lovebuglena I hope things work out. So far as I know, they never caught the "bad guys" who stole my $4.000 check. What's upsetting is that it appears they made minimal effort to do so.

We put a stop on the first check. The second check we mailed out arrived as they called us to let us know. They have yet to deposit it though.

The mail delivery has really sucked in the last year or so. I hope the second check shows up.

So far no deposit seen but I think she mailed it out Tuesday. May have not gotten there yet.

This is exactly the problem with the Mail Service these days. So instead of mailing checks, I do bank transfers online. It is fast and easy. The only problem is that you have to get all the bank details correct or the money might not get to the right account.

I asked them if there is any other way to pay. They said that unfortunately there isn’t. All other bills for mom I pay online.

@lovebuglena I am sorry to hear this. Maybe you could cancel the check and then hand deliver another one, if it is not too far out of your way to go there?

@lifecoachjerusalem My mom cancelled the first check and mailed out the second one. She has no way to go there and pay as she doesn't drive.
