Pink Azaleas Are Blooming

Another rain shower over night. This is always good for the garden. These pink Azaleas started blooming today. I have been watching the buds and knew it was almost time. The azalea is a must have plant in this area. I see many blooming in the neighborhood. I love these as they remind me of growing up. My Mom had these all along our long driveway. She loved them as wall. Rhododendrons and azaleas are two of my favorite shrubs. Many people think of them as entirely different plants, but they both belong to the same family. I hope to plant some Rhododendrons soon. They prefer mostly shade. For now, I will enjoy these azaleas that return each year. Anything blooming in your yard, garden, balcony or indoors? Photo is mine.

Lovely, lovely. We have some shoots coming up; but I don't know what they are. The daffodils have run their course for the season.

Azaleas are so pretty. We have a lot in the complex. They began blooming a couple of weeks ago. They were so pretty but they’ve about faded away.

Overnight rains here but still majorly the summer time. The above blooms look wonderful! I think such blooms attract a lot of bees as well as other insects, and may be some birds as well? Your Bird Feeding setup is on the way?

Roses don't attract as many insects as other nectar blooms. I will post an update soon, thanks for asking.

My magnolia tree in my front yard is in full bloom right now. I always love when it blooms. There are azaleas all over the place here, I always love seeing them bloom. Azaleas and crape myrtles. But the myrtles won't start blooming until the summer.

Thanks but it gets really hot in the Deep South too. However these always bloom in late April and are gone by the end of May before the hottest temperatures arrive.

Love the color of your azalea bush. Ours is a little darker pink and in bloom as well. As is the one at the church. My favorite flower, iris's are in bloom, dark purple.

Azaleas are the best! Mine are starting to bud. Can't wait for those different color blooms to show. I have many scattered about my yard and some have a redish pink color others blue.
