Thanks to a concerned eyewitness who saw a small python that was relaxing inside of a Wal Mart store located in Bloomington Indiana over three weeks ago, members of the City Of Bloomington Animal Care and Control came to the store and were able to get the snake out of the store safely.
The python was seen on a shelf when the officials of the animal care took the snake away from the store to take him to a local animal shelter where the python who was given the name Wolverine after the fictional character of the Marvel comics roster group the X Men.
The officials of the animal control group are hoping that someone adopts Wolverine as a pet soon.
I will pass adopting a python. I will settle for a cat or dog instead.

@RebeccasFarm I had two German Shepherds that are no longer with me. One of a mixed breed and one a pure German Shepherd and they were nice dogs.

Not me. I will adopt a German Shepherd, Rottweiler and Black Lab first. Prefer a mixed breed.

Pythons are not pets, they are dangerous wild animals!

Better to have a special Wild forest area for the Pythons rather than someone adopting it.
This was a timely discovery otherwise the Python could have bitten someone.

@Deepizzaguy
That would be madness, although we do come across videos especially on YouTube with folks having all sorts of Pets; including snakes of different kinds.

I would avoid having a snake in my home at all costs.

@Deepizzaguy Some people do have snakes for pets. Hard to believe.

Pythons get too big to be pets; and they don't show affection like a dog does!

No thanks on the python but you did give me an amusing image, Can you imagine what would have happened if someone thought that python on the shelf was a rubber one and went to pick it up?

That is a good question how the python entered the Wal Mart store.
