I really don't like the tags on clothes!

One of my daughters sent me 3 new shirts. I was thrilled as I don't get new clothing that often, I tend to wear mine a long time. She wanted to send .something because I lost weight, which was sweet of her. I washed them and today I wanted to wear one of them. So I put it on and off I went. And...yep, I totally forgot about that !!*%###! tag on the neck. Those tags just eat me up! They make me itch and I wanted to scratch my neck all day long, which isn't very nice or polite, so I didn't. But you can bet I took it off as soon as I walked in the door, put on a shirt without a tag, and chopped the tag off of the shirt I wore and off of the other two. Does anyone else have to do this? I feel kind of dumb doing it, but I can't help it. The irritation is just not worth it. And this was top named brand stuff, but I don't care, the tags are gone!

Our tags are now "printed" on the inside (not visible from the outside) the printing wears off after a few washes. I like this a lot more.

I'm happy when I see those printed on the inside too. Makes life so much easier

@MarieCoyle I agree and I guess it's also cheaper for the producer, one less thing to sew.

It's the best when they are printed on the inside. No tags to snip or irritate.

My parents used to do it. But nowadays those tags can be difficult to remove if you try to cut them off some of the clothes may be damaged by trying to remove them. So, I do not bother removing them anymore. It doesn't bother me anymore and I get used to it now.

I remove them very carefully, but I do remove them. Sometimes they actually make the back of my neck red. Maybe they have a chemical in them, I have no idea. I love the shirts that have the name or size or information printed on the inside of the neck, right on the material, rather than a sewed on tag.

@MarieCoyle I understand how you feel that’s why my mom and my grandma used to do that for me. But now I realize that it can be annoying at first but I get used to it. Good thing they don’t irritate my neck as much as you do.

@rsa101 I am allergic to so many things. I wonder if there is a chemical in those dumb tags that just irritates me.

Tags in clothing dont bother me too much, but my son used to hate them, and would rip the tags out of all his t shirts.

I sometimes remove them, especially if the quality is not good.

These were fairly high end shirts, so I was rather surprised the tags were so irritating. It must just be me...sigh...

Nice gifts from your daughter! Most of my clothes have stamped labels or sewn in labels, but I can imagine how irritating that could be.

It gave me a feeling of satisfaction to cut them off the shirts.

I know a lot of people do this, but it's something that has never bothered me, I don't know why. Nice that you got a lovely gift though!

It depends where the tag is but I also remove tags from my clothes once I buy them.

I cut most of my tags as well. Especially on my Eeyore shirts. Disney is proud of their name. Large tags.

@MarieCoyle I know. They are very proud of their merchandise. As much as we pay for it, it should be tagless.

The last time I was at Disney World, I was presented with a nice fuzzy blanket with red plaid on one side and sherpa-type material on the other. Absolutely huge Disney tag on the corner, I mean, huge! I snipped it off. It has an embroidered Mickey and Minnie, small and discreet, in the same corner, which is smaller than that stupid tag was!

@CarolDM That was a gift, but I've been to Disney World many times in the past. Their souvenirs and pretty much anything you get there is wildly expensive.
