Sam Roecker who is employed as a nurse in Philadelphia is one person who I admire since she ran in her nurse uniform in the Boston Marathon setting a record that was recorded on the Guinness Book Of World Records by completing her race in 2 hours, 48 minutes and two seconds by a female runner. Sam raised over $45,000 dollars for mental health services for her employer Penn Medicine Perelmen Center. The previous record was held by Jessica Anderson in the London Marathon in 2019 which was 3 hours, 8 minutes and 22 seconds. What I like about marathons is that runners can participate in these kinds of races bring out runners who run for a cause that is close to their heart.

I wish I could long distance run. But I am not in shape. I'm not athletic.
