Monday Coffee and Some Chit Chat

Happy Monday Everyone! a sunny day here which is definitely a pleasant change from the rain. Yesterday was a fun and wonderful day. Our family gathered for Mothers Day and we also celebrated my daughters birthday, my grandsons birthday and my daughter and son in laws 25th wedding anniversary. My heart was filled with love and pride as I looked around at my family and thanked God for my blessings. It certainly felt like we were living a Hallmark moment with these milestones. I'm still smiling today One of the gifts I got yesterday was something my 13 year old grandson picked out and he made it known that it was just from him. I was a little leery of opening it because he was laughing when he handed it to me. Inside was a bag of coffee and not just any coffee....it's called Death Wish Coffee and the label says it's the strongest coffee on earth!! I'm almost scared to try it but I definitely will (maybe tomorrow) I also got a mug warmer that will work nicely plugged in right next to my side of the couch. I can keep my coffee warm while relax. Guess my coffee reputation continues as I also got two mugs. Yes, I did get other gifts that had no coffee association I'm tired today but it's a good tired. How was your weekend?

@Marilynda1225 That will always be a cute joke between you two. The roses are blooming nicely. The lilacs didn't bloom this year. The weather I guess. And the butterfly bushes are starting to green out. They will hopefully bloom in a few weeks And the sedum is just starting. All looking good so far.

@CarolDM I love your pictures and gardening posts. I have never been able to successfully have a garden and know nothing much about plants and flowers. I live through the beautiful pictures of your garden and all the bluebirds, etc. It must be so nice being surrounded by such beauty,

@Marilynda1225 You are always so kind and I appreciate you Marilyn. I share what I enjoy and the garden does make me happy, as you know. So glad you never get tired of the photos. I created this spot of happiness and enjoy it as often as possible. Always something new to see each year as the trees in the yard mature as well.

I'm so glad the day went off so well. Did the surprise work well? Were they totally unsuspecting? I hope so.

Yes the surprise went well. Both were totally surprised and didn't expect a thing. My daughter in law and I just laughed at how much we conspired behind their backs.

It was quiet, which is surprising considering all the hoopla of the Kentucky Derby that was around me! I’m glad you had a blessed Mother’s Day. I always tried to make my mom feel a little special on “her day.”
