My Tuesday dinner

United States
May 10, 2022 7:45pm CST
I was able to cut off another close to 2 lb of sliced ham that I already sliced and packaged, and put up in the freezer. I still have enough ham for dinner tonight and to make my Bean or lentil soup with what's left in the pot. I am happy to have all of these wonderful cooked carrots and cabbage. There's plenty for the rest of the week, and I will put up it container of ham, carrots, and cabbage that I can share with RGD. Even Cooper got some mashed carrots with his dinner tonight. He will eat them cooked, but not raw! I always enjoy this dinner with a little bit of stone ground mustard for the ham or some horseradish. Tonight I opted for the mustard. What was for dinner at your place? Photo is my own.

This is a very good meal, I like everything I see in your dish. Thanks for mentioning horseradish, I have to buy it as I have finished it.

Just a very simple boiled dinner. I like them every once in awhile. I'll do it with a ham or corned beef.

Oh Coral, what a beautiful, very appetizing meal! At first I thought it was corned-beef, I'd much rather have ham, any day! Are those pieces of rutabaga, also? My mouth is watering! lol

@kobesbuddy The varieties now come in many different colors! If I had a place to grow them, I would try it!

@much2say and remember, I took most of the meat off that bone that was already sliced, so I have about six or seven pounds of sliced ham in my freezer! LOL

YUM! I was very bad. I had some cheese puffs. I should have had a piece of leftover pizza instead.

Thanks. I was happy with it. This type of meal (boiled dinner w/ham or corned beef) is comfort food for me. I opted not to have potatoes with it.
