There went my weeding for today

Unless it stops raining soon enough and dries out a bit. We have thunderstorms headed out way with the possibility of hail and heavy winds. Yesterday I did a smidgeon of hoeing in the front yard and pulled weeds and put some mulch down. I planned on doing a little each day so I can get more done than I have in years past My ladder guy has his baby for two weeks each month and hasn't found a daycare open or a babysitter yet so I have some time on my hands. I also went from being full time at my main job to part time which has been so nice and less stressful. That allows me extra time too. If my pic loads it's off my red bud tree just beginning to bud. The color will stand out more as it fills out.

We got rained out from yard work the other day. Although in Florida it can be 85 and no clouds in the sky and start raining. LOL.

It's done that here too. Although the clouds do come first just when you least expect them

@thislittlepennyearns not a single cloud? Doesn't seem possible unless it's being pulled from the ocean.

That is one tall tree. A little each day is a good way to go. Part-time now huh? How nice for you.

@MarshaMusselman .......I always liked earlier hours in the heat of the summer and then later hours in the fall and winter.

@celticeagle I do the opposite because I run a business in the summer months and we work in the mornings to early afternoons.

Yes, and I've been there long enough that I can change my hours any time I want. But, if I went in earlier I'd be working too much so I hope for later hours during the week

Very pretty our trees here are in full leaf and have been for several days. I agree PT is much better than FT. I haven't had a lot of FT jobs honestly. I find them very stressful. I can only handle them for so long

Out of 24 years at this job I was only pt for about seven. I needed to be, though to get out of debt. After our kitchen remodel I need to stay a bit to get rid of that debt before retiring.

I work to much to babysit. Plus if I watched his child then I wouldn't be able to go work with him I don't even babysit my own grandson yet.

@MarshaMusselman I bet it's gorgeous when it's fully bloomed

The tree is a good size. I hope to share more pics as the flowers get bigger. They don't do as well as others probably because I've not fertilized it much in recent years.

@Marilynda1225 it's not as pretty as other trees of this type will get but I still enjoy it. I found out recently that my husband hates the tree.

@MarshaMusselman I grew up in Chicago and became used to the Spring "patterns" there.

It probably would if I fertilized it. The blooms don't normally stay very long.

The rain ended up going around my part of town although it looked like rain most of the day. The tree will get prettier once it fills out more.
