Textbroker Woes

United States

After months of mulling it over, I decided to bite the bullet and reapply for Textbroker tonight. I used to write for them about 4 t 5 years ago, but stopped and they closed my account. I just finished the application and I probably flunked my test article for them because it requires that you write a bit of the article in html and I am not good at that. After it was all said and done, I am not sure I should have even reapplied. I sort of had a love/hate relationship with Textbroker when I wrote for them years ago. I loved getting the money and it was pretty easy if I could find an article to write about. But on the other hand, most of the article choices I had were pretty uninteresting and the stress of having a time limit on the articles I choose drove me crazy. So here I am, trying it again because I want to find websites that will help me earn more money. But I am already dreading it. Maybe I won't even be approved as a level 2 writer because of the html stuff, so I won't have to worry about it. Have you ever written for Textbroker and what was your experience with it?

I never did, I checked their site a few time and I was never convinced to join.

@LadyDuck You are smart. I am not sure about it myself. If they don't accept me, then it's not meant to be.

@Kouponkaren This is the right way to consider things, never force the destiny.

I heard that they are pretty strict with their submissions, but I may be wrong. Do you get lots of assignments from them?

@ihasaquestion I used to when I wrote for them previously. It's been a couple of years now since I wrote for them but I wanted to earn more money with my writing, so I decided to apply again. We will see what happens.

@ihasaquestion Thanks. I haven't heard anything yet. But I applied late Weds. night and I heard it can take up to a week to hear back from them.

You never know, keep on the positive side. The worst is you will have to apply again, but with added experience

@Kouponkaren I wouldn't say that. I feel these things are a matter of practice and getting into the mind set of writing. My mindset has been wandering these last few days, so I've not done much

@Ronrybs Well if I don't get accepted this time, that's it for me. I will take it as a sign that I shouldn't be writing for them. The waiting around is the worst past now though. It says it could take up to a week to hear back from them.

@Ronrybs I haven't done much writing in a while...except here on myLot. Seems my brain doesn't want to function to write more than about 5 minutes at a time. That's why myLot works well for me. :0) 5 minute posts are good and not too taxing!

@Sojourn Thank you for that offer. But if I get accepted, I don't have to actually use it in the articles I write. In the directions, Textbroker wrote that they have a way of doing it. So what I don't understand is how come I have to prove I can use it?

I never have, but I may have looked into it. There are things my blindness will not allow.
