Fad or Fashion?

It's been a long, long time since I saw a picture of a weird fashion trend; and I have reported many strange things over the past couple of years. If you want to see any of the past posts, search under Discussions: "Fad or Fashion?" I really can't believe today's "fad/fashion" trend. Some people are getting a metal band inserted in the bridge of their nose so that eyeglass lenses can be attached so that they don't have to wear glasses. Have you ever heard of this or seen this before? Would you try this trend? What do you think of this? Photo Credit: Facebook

Good grief, that's not exactly the kind of thing I'd want done to me. I've worn glasses since I was 2 so I'm used to all the pitfalls but I sure as heck wouldn't do this.

Never heard of it before. I guess it isn't that popular enough. Nobody would do that in here. If you don't want to wear glasses it's either you get lasik or wear contact lenses.

Like so many fashion? Trends, I ask Why? The honey jeans? Bizarre coloured hair? Tattoos on every inch of skin? Piercings of various and sundry body parts? I guess I’m old fashioned.

I haven't seen it before. I won't try it even if I will be given a lot of money to do so I can't see there is a trend, it is more like a danger and pain for me.
