Is The Horse too stupid to train? --Kitty

It took him a week to realize that I don't like the Purina Cat Chow he bought me as much as the Meow Mix he usually gets. I slept on his desk chair. I slept on his keyboard. He still didn't get it. So now I'm typing while he is out cycling. I should have taken in a smarter human. But at least this one gives me food and water every morning. And wet food in the afternoons. This is directed to the "pets" of those who think themselves to be MyLot "writers": Have you ever had a human who was dumber than a box of rocks? How do you deal with it?

Be patient, Kitty. You can lead The Horse to water but you can’t make him drink.

@TheHorse — lead a horse to WATER, not bourbon.

@FourWalls He says he prefers Scotch in his old age. But I have never had either. But I might have to. The water is low in my inside bowl.

I think he is hopeless. He as walks into the kitchen sometimes and forgets to get me food from the fridge.

Give him time. Rome wasn’t built in a day. Change is best achieved in small steps so as not to cause inordinate amounts of stress.

That's what he says, But he's merely human. He does not understand the nuances.

I feed my cats grain-free high protein food. Yes it is expensive but not full of cheap fillers so they don't need to eat so much. Nature's Instinct is my favorite but Blue Wilderness is great too.

You shouldn't have told me that. He is doomed. Wait. He's back from his cycle. I have to do the "purr and pretend to be glad to see him" thing. It gets so tiresome.

Nico says "Be patient kitty, you may have to keep repeating the lesson until the human gets it, I have found them to be quite slow on the uptake personally."

You know, Kitty, I had a pet cat like you once. I traded him for a box of rocks.

You should be grateful to the Horse, he feeds you, he is gentle and he lets you go inside and sleep where you like. I know that my cat prefers a specific brand of wet food... that costs three times more, so he gets the special food only on Saturday and Sunday.

Hopefully your human will wake up soon and feed you the stuff you like. But sometimes, there is just no hope and you have to learn to deal with it.

This is Kobe, I already passed over the "Rainbow Bridge." Yes, Kharla did boot me in the butt, whenever I'd take her entire arm into my slimy mouth, just kidding around She has no sense of humor, I guess! Then, if I'd refuse to potty on the fence before bedtime, she'd get all impatient. Humans can be a pain in the butt and Kharla took a trophy, a real loser:(

The Horse says he keeps the text to The Rainbow Bridge in his mandolin case. It makes him cry, he says. He's an idiot.

@TheHorse We know Horse is no idiot, and that's the truth! But, if he didn't get all teary eyed and cry at times, the ole head would blow up! Too much pressure, sorta like a volcanic response

@TheHorse I do not know what my cat thinks about me. She probably feels confused at times about me and not sure if she is happy with me but she stays with me.

Well, I must say that I disagree with your assessment of your human as being dumber than a box of rocks. He was smart enough to adopt you! And he does a good job of taking care of you.
