"Get Back" was written by Paul McCartney and credited to the duo of Lennon/McCartney and was released in 1969. The song was billed as "The Beatles with Billy Preston" who played piano on this track. McCartney reworked some lyrics from George Harrison's "Sour Milk Sea" -- "Get back to the place you should be."
Originally the song was a commentary about immigration, telling people to "get back" to their own countries. McCartney decided, rightly so, to make the lyrics more acceptable.
McCartney said, "We were sitting in the studio and we made it up out of thin air ... we started to write words there and then..." So it appears that this song doesn't have an intended meaning...it's just a bunch of words... However! John Lennon was convinced that Paul wrote the song about Yoko Ono: "Get back to where you once belong". There are other speculations about the meaning of the lyrics as well.
"Get Back" hit #1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and on the US Cash Box Top 100.

I don't know. It was a #1 hit; so maybe he'd pat himself on the back.

Aside from "Here's Comes the Sun" as my favorite song of Beatles, I also love the "Get Back".

Boy, Paul was always promoting pot, wasn’t he. “Jojo left his home in Tucson, Arizona for some California grass.”
