I asked if I could come over

My neighbor to the right of me works from home, and she takes periodic breaks. She knew Angel pretty well.
I texted her and asked if I could come over sometime today, as 1) I don't really know what to do with myself and 2) I'm tired of being alone.
She said I could at one of her break times, and gave me a choice of which one. I said I'd like to come over at the first one, 10 a.m. I want to get out of this apartment, but I don't want to just wander around like a zombie.

It is good for you to do that. Your self-care is of the utmost importance right now.

People keep telling me things like that--but I am feeling too sad/down to really do anything for myself or othrewise.

My sympathies are with you. I’ve been down that road, and even though you know it was for Angel’s best, that doesn’t help your mourning any.

Thank you, and you're right. I will miss Angel for quite a while.
