He was a television personality called Dog, The Bounty Hunter. His real name is Duane Chapman. He had a reality show on cable tv from 2004 until 2012. It was on A&E and I watched it for all twelve seasons it was on. It was a weekly chronicle of his experiences being a bounty hunter in Hawaii. He and his wife, two sons, and even a daughter helped him.
Duane did a stint in prison for murder. He did 18 months for first-degree murder during a cannabis buy that went bad in 1976. He had some drug issues earlier in his life.
Sadly his wife died of throat cancer in 2019. He was a broken man afterward too. Poor man. She was only 51 and they had been married since 2006. Just one year after her death he has a new fiance. I am glad he is getting on with life. He and Francie are due to get married in September. He has 12 kids from five marriages. (I thought I had a high number of marriages.)
There is another(there have been two others) spin-off, Dog's Unleashed is said to premiere sometime in 2022. It will be on the streaming service Unleashed so I will probably never get to see it. You know this guy was popular with three spin-offs of his show that ran for so long. He has had some health issues but hope he sticks around a while longer.
I liked his show because he was always so compassionate and respectful of the men he was after. Unless they were jerks, which there were a few. He treated them as human beings. Even criminals need that.
Their notification before each show is: Don't try this at home. How funny!

@Nakitakona .......He always gives pep talks to the guys he catches and helps some with bonding them out and such. Some of the criminals just need a chance and someone in their lives that care. Others are just lost.

I've never watched the show. Aside from the 12 kids and 5 marriages, I was shocked at his getting 18 months for first-degree murder! How can this be?

Good behavior. He went into bail bonds when he got out. He also tackled a guy who was trying to escape while he was inside.
