One of my bands has a gig today!

It's not really "my" band. It's Michael's band. We're called Burl Jam and we're playing as a trio today. One of our members has other obligations.
We play a lot of Western swing, but we also do some folk, blues, bluegrass, and even jazz.
I'll be mostly on keyboards, which should be fun. Piano was my first instrument. But I'll also play some guitar and sing some vocals. I'll be singing John Prine's Paradise, Angel from Montgomery, Souvenirs, and Great Rain. I guess you could say I like John Prine. @FourWalls may have intuited that. I'll also sing a 'Dead song (Franklin's Tower), Townes's Pancho and Lefty, and a few others.
For those who don't know I love to play music, I'll attach one of my YouTube "hits" that I'll be doing today. Most of my Mylot friends have already seen it, and I am truly thankful for your support. My music friends here in the East Bay wonder why I am one of the most viewed local musicians on YouTube. (I would like to attribute it to my incredible natural talent, but there's always more to the story.) My secret weapon is probably my friends on MyLot and the people they forward my stuff to.
MyLot's own @Vandana7 is my producer (she and I argue about which pictures to use), and MyLot's own DJ (Vanny will provide her "handle") is my internet liaison.
Michael will be a bit "nervous," as he sings most of the songs we'll be doing today, and we've never performed as a trio before. But once we hit our stride, I'm sure it will be fun.

For me it is strange topic to write a song on...I don't identify with such things....I didn't grow up among cow boys. I often wonder how come Pony did not build a house of his own..along with a girlfriend...that is so common in your parts of the world...I presume...he could be sitting outside on the deck strumming his instrument in the evening ..with a beautiful view...but then, your world is a dangerous place to live in. Do tornadoes trouble you all even in the nights?

There are a couple on YouTube. I have not put my version of Paradise (one of my "signature songs" on YouTube yet. Today, a 50-something former Guitar Center student came up and sang Angel From Montgomery with me. It was an enjoyable moment.

@TheHorse Extremely grateful for $20 dollars Indian meal in some eatery of California...eatable when able..LOL You still didn't tell me whether they have Andhra Mango pickle served there...if not, I am never coming to the US. I have three large bottles three medium sized bottles and one small bottle of mango pickle at home. Nothing would tempt me to leave my country right now...
