Apparently, he has been neglecting his diet and eating sardines again, or too many burgers and now is suffering from Gout again. it isn't as bad as the first time he had it, but it is painful. They said he was hobbling around the grocery store. I hope buying fruits and vegetables! He is back on the tart cherry juice and pills.Have you ever had gout or know somebody who suffers?

@snowy22315 it would be tough, but necessary, to restrict favourite foods.

It's more common in men I think.. Also, there may be a heriditary component. I just heard yesterday, that his dad had it.

@snowy22315 - I did not know it could be hereditary, but most health problems are.

I think it strikes men more than women. Benjamin Franklin had it.

My father had gout and I know that it’s certainly not a picnic.

No, his first attack was horrible and it killed him to walk. This one hasn't been quite as intense.

Probably oily fish although mostly healthy can cause issues like this apparently.

I'm not stranger to pain in general, but that's something I haven't suffered from.
