Covid will never get me

That is what I thought as I was in the clear all this time.
But it had other plans for me and finally got me May 12th.
Weird thing is that I tested negative both in rapid and pcr tests the day before and then the next day (at dinner after my dad's funeral) I started feeling like crap.
Weak, tired, no appetite, nauseous...
And when I finally got home I had a fever.
Even threw up once at some point.
I did not retest myself then but what I had gone through was most likely covid as hubby was feeling bad and had tested positive.
I still don't feel 100% back to normal but I do not want covid to get me ever again.
I am done with it.
Not that it cares about what I want.

@lovebuglena You're welcome.
If you didn't have Covid, I'd invite you to come visit us this weekend. Our high today was 63F. We've been getting storms for the last week and will keep having them for another week. The longer the storms last, the chillier its getting here.

@lovebuglena They say that Covid is mutating into variants that are benign as far as symptoms go. Can't kill all of your hosts or you'll have nowhere to live. I mist be a sick man, trying to think like a virus.

I have a feeling if you feel fine and test you will be negative when in reality you may not be. That's what happened to me.

@Deepizzaguy I think Covid is mutating. Many people will get it but it won't be as debilitating.

Ugh. I hope you are feeling a whole lot better now. I have friends who had it and they say they get that tired feeling still. A couple years ago before we even knew about covid, I had those very same symptoms . . . it really makes me wonder if I had it at the time. Please take care and hope you get back to 10) very soon.

@lovebuglena It seems to be very similar, but covid seems to be more "intense"? The sickness I had - omg I have never felt that bad in my life . . . it was the worst ever. And we were on a skiing trip
