I'm in my 40s and I'm glad I worked and saved in my 20s and 30s. I am glad I took good care of my daughter, I am more than blessed now because she is an awesome - sweet loving smart girl. I am now in my 40s and I think my 50s and 60s and I wonder what should I do now that my future self will thank me for. Where should I focus more is it makineg money, exploring and eating my favorites food, walking for physical health, investing on a house? ( we are still renting). Please do share the wisdom only actual experience can bring.

Savve a certain amount out of each pay check to go for things that you want like a house.

Saving is important, try not to spend money that you can save, when you age you want to live a comfortable life without the stress to find the money. Eat healthy but do not renounce to the food you love. Stay with the people you love, as life is full of surprises.

@yoalldudes Inflation was very high starting from the early 70s, all the expenses increased.

Well, I'm glad I didn't die those times when I probably got pretty close to doing so...

@yoalldudes well, I fell off a horse on my head in high school and I totaled a car in 1972 and again in 1983. I say I totaled, but really neither were totally my fault, I just was alone in the car when they happened, there were other cars involved.

While there are things that I missed in 20s. But I am thankful for some of the experiences I had with some of my roommates when I was a bachelor and staying outside on rent with my friends. Plus on a regular physical routine I maintained.

Well I would thank him that he turned out to be the patient man that I am right now. I do not easily get swayed with emotions and try to control my emotions to react according to the emotions that are prevailing at the moment. I am thankful that as early as he was before he realized how to control his temper and not burst into uncontrollable anger.

@yoalldudes But sometimes I think I have become more like a passive-aggressive person too which at some point is not healthy too. I think I need to balance things out on this.

I am glad I worked so hard and now have a pension and good SS. I think exploring and eating your favorite foods is a big plus. Although if you make good money now you will be able to do more of that in your senior years. You only go through this life once so enjoy it the way you see fit. No regrets.

You made it and now its your time to savor life. I also think I might want semi retirement up to my 70s instead of complete retirement. Some productivity is good for mental health and morale.

My decision to get a college degree would be something I am most grateful I did. It allowed me to eventually become a teacher and coach, impact youngsters, and contribute to society. Your answer is a very good one. Being a good parent is definitely something to be thankful for. To raise a daughter, you can be proud of is truly rewarding!

I would say that keep your health as a priority and do all ro invest in a good health that will keep you going stronger in the later years. You can start saving for your home. How about taking one using loan. And with each paycheck, you can pay the loan back little by little.

Sometimes health takes a backseat due to work and trying to earn income. I will add drinking turmeric as well as warm water and honey in my June habit tracker. Do you also believe in these healthy foods. I hope to eat yogurt once I'm in the city for gut health it is not available in our small town.

I do feel like you. I'm already 44 years old, still renting, although, I have work to feed my family, I do enough savings in the bank but not that much. It's only for emergency. I'm still exploring for more passive incomes as an extra jobs aside being a customer service representative. Hope someone will teach where to get extra income.

For me as long as my family is happy I dont mind renting. After all we are all passers by in this earth. Even the house we own will outlive us. So yes in the meantime try to bring in as much income as we can. I will try building a youtube channel.

I hope one day we get there. We have to find an affordable place to rent while sending our daughter to college as our limited budget allows. We cannot afford the high cost of amortization
