May is almost over! Are you counting the days in dread or is it just the end of another month for you? For us we're kind of counting the days and kind of just moving forward. Since my husband got this new job we've been fighting constantly. It's very tiring. On the plus side though, this weekend was a good weekend. We talked a lot of things out and we agreed we're still working things out with this job. On Saturday the Dekalb County Fire Department did a smoke alarm blitz across the county. We had a lot of fun doing it and I can't wait to do it again next year. According to Chief we put smoke alarms in 130 houses that day and helped make a few families feel safer. Due to that however, I was late getting up to the dealership lol. I have the most understanding sales rep in the world though and she was patient with us. I didn't walk away with the jeep that I had originally wanted. The payments were starting out at $400 a month. My husband has a better job but not that better. I ended up walking away with a 2013 Ford Escape. It's white but if that's my only issue with it, I can live with it. Sunday was just a lot of errands apparently. We went to Walmart and he finished my cricut set and we got him his new apple watch. Oh, I guess I should say that this is all my anniversary present, a week late. So at the time I told him he couldn't get me both the bigger cricut and the car. It just wasn't financially possible. Well, I went into walmart on Friday and they had one in emerald green marked down from $200 to $148. It may not seem like a huge drop but it was enough for me. So in total for our anniversary, since we didn't have time or money on our actual anniversary, I got a chrome book just for cricut design, a cricut air and a car. Literally everything that I had wanted in one weekend. I really can't wait to try everything out together. It should be good and it should be easier than what I've been doing. Today, I just have a lot of computer work to catch up on. If I focus I can do it. I also have to get a move on, on the wildland training. They didn't give us a deadline but I don't want to take forever either. There's still so much left to do on it too. It's going to be a long day but I can do this. Fingers crossed he gets off at 4pm today and we'll spend some time together catching up on a few shows. We're still trying to figure out dinner lol. Can't figure out dinner but I did find a desert I want to make for the fourth lol. What is everyone else up to? Did you do anything fun over the weekend? *picture from google

I can’t remember if I mentioned this before, but happy anniversary to you and your husband! How exciting that you were able to get everything you wanted all in one weekend! I had a pretty mundane weekend, but that’s okay because I spent last Thursday and Friday at Disney Workd and will be there again this coming weekend. Happy Monday to you!

@JordanLader I’m glad you had a pretty good weekend! The ride was like nothing I ever expected out of a roller coaster. It’s very hard to explain. It’s an indoor coaster, with a vehicle that spins/turns, and you go through different rooms/segments. You’re part of the story that is being told as you travel along, and there is music, video and narrative along the way. It was just nothing short of amazing.

@moffittjc That seems really cool. I kind of like the movies but I have to admit that I'm not a big fan of roller coasters. It's just not something the my head and stomach can handle.

I had a lazy weekend and loved it. I am legally blind and have not been able to drive since 2016. But when I was driving, I owned white vehicles. Dirt showed up less.

It's the opposite for me. I hate white because the dirt always shows up

@JordanLader Hmmm. My high school sweetheart (and his dad) got me into white cars because dirt showed up less. But we all see things differently, so I appreciate your reasoning for not wanting one - especially if you live where it snows. As my eyesight worsened, it became more and more difficult for me to find my car in winter.

@Chellezhere I understand that. I can never find a white car in the snow. It just blends in so well. I don't drive in snow though so it's not a worry for me lol.
