Give my people plenty of beer, good beer, and cheap beer, and you will have no revolution among them. -----------Queen Victoria (Monday, May 24, 1819 ---- Tuesday, January 22, 1901 Age 81) We are gathered here today to celebrate the birthday of my friend Vicky (AKA Queen Victoria). Which is tomorrow. That probably makes more sense to you if you're in the UK. And/or Canada...Is Canada still in the UK? My experts say NO. But Canada is celebrating Victoria Day. On the wrong day. Just like the rest of the UK but they do it on the right day. This is the kind of thing that gives me a headache. The good thing is that one more Moosehead should get rid of it. #HappyVictoriaDay

Canada is not in the UK but it is still part of the Commonwealth and I know that they celebrate.

@LadyDuck It would be nice if imports weren't outrageously expensive.

Thank you. I hope your Moosehead is not "skunky."

I don't have that problem. I have a connection in Vancouver who always gets it to me fresh.

Liz’s portrait is still on the Canadian coins that clog up our vending machines in the US, so they have some kind of nudge-nudge-wink-wink to her. Didn’t the Smothers Brothers do that song, “We are marching to Victoria”?

@xander6464 -- exactly. Was (Not Was) even pointed out the evils of Peoria in their song "The Party Broke Up."

I was one of the ones who thought they were marching to Peoria. It makes much more sense now because who would march to Peoria?

I didn't know it's Victoria Day. I like Queen Victoria. Not British or Canadian.

If you get that beverage aplenty no need to get rid of it, I propose.
