I just ordered two 120 loads of the Beekmans 1802 Happy Family Laundry Soap from HSN. It was on sale(which doesn't happen very often)and I saved $14 on two of the big bags. We were nearly out. Beekmans 1802 brand are products made with goat milk. The soap is triple-milled and is made the old-fashioned way with fine ingredients. No laundry soap like Tide and Gain for me if I can get this instead.
The two guys that started the company were ex-professionals who just happened upon this little town, Sharon Springs, in upstate New York and fell in love with a farm they ended up buying. A goat farming neighbor was losing his place and the two took him in. That is where the goat milk products began.

I'm not familiar with this brand of laundry soap but their story is very interesting. I never would have thought you could make laundry soap from goat milk

I wasn't either. I started watching HSN and learned from the guys about their product and wanted to try it. The use of goats milk in beauty and household items has been around for many years.

@celticeagle I know goats milk is popular in beauty products but never associated it with household stuff but it does make sense.
I rarely watch HSN but it does sound interesting

@celticeagle Glad to know that. There's no goat milk factory here in our locality. When I was a kid, my mom fed me of a goat's milk which she brought from the farmer who passed by in our house every Saturday which is our market day.

Beekman 1802 has been around a while. If you watch HSN you will see them on there.

I am a big Home Shopping Network fan. I watch it all of the time. They have a lot of great products you may not hear of elsewhere.

Congratulations on getting money off your laundry soap. Sounds like a good deal. Have you got enough to last for a while now?

It’s always interesting how businesses start.
Locally we have a Vodka distillery which came about because of a glut of potatoes.

Yes, it is. Vodka, huh? Nice. The Irish would have liked to have heard there were potatoes in Canada back in the day.LOL
