Sunset on the River / myLot

Here we are at the end of another day of camping. At sunset, we took a walk down to the edge of the river and I took this photo. The picture didn't quite capture the reflection of the red sky on the water the way I hoped it would. "Good night, good night! One of the nice things about camping is it gives you time to slow down and take in the world around you.

@DWDavis Amen, as long as its not cold out. Never go camping in winter in Big Bear with just one blanket you think is warm. I ended up sleeping in cold as car with that supposed warm blanket and slept like a baby compared to that cold.

If I could stay forever at one of the riverside campsites, I would never leave. I've been boating, fishing, swimming, and camping along that river most of my life. Its water is in my blood.

The next morning was beautiful as well. The water was calm close to shore and a lone male duck swam up close to the dock to see what Ace and I were doing.
